Do not translate Pa directly into cleaning percentage. Brush contact, airflow, surface seal, pass pattern, carpet pile, and hair handling matter. Skip D30 when the main problem is an 82mm furniture gap. Its suction and brush claims cannot clean an area the body cannot enter. Also skip it if a camera-free policy is required and the exact sensing configuration does not satisfy that policy.

L10s Pro Ultra Heat: established feature balance

A robot used in a bedroom or home office may need a stricter policy than one limited to common areas.

Choose L10s when those controls are acceptable and the floor plan matches its clearance and carpet limits. Prefer another approach when avoiding cameras is nonnegotiable or thick carpet risks contact with lifted wet pads.

DEEBOT T50 Pro OMNI: low profile and edge hardware

ECOVACS specifies an 81mm, or 3.19-inch, body for T50 Pro OMNI. Fully embedded dToF LiDAR eliminates the typical raised turret, making this the clearest choice when measured furniture gaps are low. Allow extra margin for uneven flooring, sagging upholstery, and approach angle; an 81mm label does not guarantee entry into an exactly 81mm opening.

The T50 Pro combines 15,000Pa stated suction with ZeroTangle 2.0, an extending side brush, an extending mop plate, dual rotating mops, 9mm lift, and an OMNI station. ECOVACS lists a 0.26-liter onboard dust box, 3-liter dock bag, 4-liter clean and dirty water tanks, a 6,400mAh battery, and support for 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only.

TruEdge 2.0 is designed to bring the side brush and mop close to walls and objects. Clear delicate floor-standing items and cables; an extending mechanism increases reach but cannot distinguish every object that should not be contacted. AIVI 3D uses an RGB camera and structured light, so apply the same privacy review as for the L10s.

The stated 9mm mop lift is a check point, not a universal carpet solution. Deep pile can still touch damp material. Configure carpet avoidance, vacuum-first sequencing, or no-mop zones according to the manual and rug construction.

Furniture and threshold survey

Measure all target gaps at several points. Soft furniture can sag, floors may slope, and a robot approaches at an angle. Record thresholds and sliding-door tracks. Compare those measurements with published climbing limits and maintain a safety margin. Never expect obstacle climbing to handle stairs or unstable edges.

Dock plumbing without permanent plumbing

These consumer docks use removable clean- and dirty-water tanks unless a specific plumbing kit and installation says otherwise. Confirm that the lid or tanks can be removed under the chosen shelf. Leave airflow and service space. Place the dock on a level hard floor close to a compliant outlet; avoid extension cords unless the manufacturer permits the exact arrangement.

Fill only with approved water and solution. Empty dirty water after use, especially in warm rooms. Rinse tanks and wipe seals. Remove hair and grit from the wash tray, clean sensors, and dry pads when the robot will sit unused. Hot-water washing assists soil release but does not remove the need for physical cleaning.

Auto-empty bags, filters, rollers, side brushes, mop pads, and solution are recurring costs. Confirm exact accessory compatibility and local supply. Similar names across D30, L10s, and T50 families do not make parts interchangeable.

Pet and child safety

Do not schedule a run in an unsupervised area until hazards are predictable. Remove cords, small toys, fabric, liquids, sharp objects, and pet waste. Keep children and animals away from the moving robot and open dock. Store solution according to its label. A robot is a floor appliance, not a surveillance device or pet monitor substitute.

Check roller ends and wheels for hair even on anti-tangle models. Wipe drop sensors and cameras with the material specified in the manual. Disconnect power before dock maintenance when instructed, and never reach into an operating brush or pump.

Network and app checks

Confirm 2.4GHz Wi-Fi support, router security, phone compatibility, and whether setup requires location or Bluetooth permissions. Use a unique account password. Apply firmware only through the official app, review household sharing, and disable unneeded camera or remote-access functions.
